Gog-Magoc was the first project I started. I completed two tracks under the name, one a reworking of a old english tune, and one for the first Gibdus compliation. Reworked versions of both of these can be found on /Izremabrusây ra Shâkalmamakhhul/. I commissioned some art for a full length release.
Then I decided to do a track for a Christmas compilation under a different, Tolkien-themed name. This comp never happened but that track became the album /Iklaladrân/. Zundmarazkhulshilkîn was born and Gog-Magoc abandoned.
But earlier this year I had a yearning to do a more overtly medieval themed album and remembered the excellent art by Huargo Ilustrador I had lay somewhere on a hard drive. Gog-Magoc rose from the ashes, all be it with a very different sound than that I first envisioned.

/Portents & Omens/ uses 90s aesthetics to look at medieval legends of a dark age Britain, steeped in Victorian romanticism.

/And there, in the court of Gwynllyw the giant was given sanctuary,
and yet as he walked the hills the gorse did scratch his flesh,
he looked at his hands - soaked in blood - and saw the end./
